Tusser Silk in black, in a printed pattern rather than embroidery. The waist fastens with zip. A floral motif runs through the border work. Black is the practical choice for a long night: it hides a spill and it travels well. Silk gives this weight and a quiet sheen rather than an obvious shine. The set is the lehenga skirt, unstitched choli fabric and dupatta. The choli is left unsewn on purpose, so the fit can be set to you rather than guessed. In the skirt, that is 41 inches long, a 3 meter flair and lined in micro cotton. Cut for the ceremony itself, where the dress code is at its most formal.
